Curtis is an undergraduate at Brigham Young University studying business strategy and finance, as well as Asian studies. This past summer he completed a finance internship with Apple, Inc. in the iPhone / iPod R&D department, and also worked as a Carrotmob Intern at Virgance–a social enterprise using social media and market-based methods to tackle pressing social issues. He has also worked for a venture capital fund, an asset management firm, and a boutique consulting firm–as such he is very interested in impact investing and incorporating a social return into traditional investments. He recently returned from Cambodia where he was conducting research on several innovative NGO’s based there. As his honors thesis, Curtis is collaborating with industry leaders to map the social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
