Transfair hires fair trade towns coordinator

Billy Goldsmith, after a cross country tour of existing fair trade towns has joined the fair trade certifier to organize towns and cities as fair trade towns; places that everyone from city councils to churches and synagogues to local activist groups to push consumption of coffee, chocolate and other food that offers a living wage to producers. I’m not totally sold on the model; I think pushing adoption among evangelicals might produce more results more quickly, but I’m willing to learn more. KJ
