Happy Thanksgiving!

Daniel Epstein November 25, 2009

In honor of Thanksgiving, we’re taking a week off from our indexing of the social entrepreneurship and impact investment space. If you celebrate this holiday, from all of us at The Unreasonable Institute, we wish you a beautiful time with friends, family, and loved ones.
If you find that you’re appetite can’t be satisfied by food and love alone, revist some of the interviews we’ve conducted to date over the long weekend:
Paul Polak – a social entrepreneur who has lifted over 17 million people out of poverty through affordable irrigation,
Pål Dale – an impact investor launching Voxtra, financing market-based approaches to solving poverty,
Dennis Whittle – a social entrepreneur who started Global Giving, which funds over 1600 impact-driven projects in over 100 countries,
Diana Ayton-Shenker – a social entrepreneur and impact investor launching the Fast Forward Fund, a fund for peer-to-peer social investment,
Tim Bauer – a social entrepreneur who manages the operations of Envirofit, an organization combatting the deadly threat of indoor air pollution and fighting poverty by engineering and selling affordable clean cookstoves,
Robert Fenwick-Smith – an impact investor funding green companies in Boulder, Colorado through Aravaipa Ventures,
Pamela Hawley – a social entrepreneur leading Universal Giving, an online platform aiming to make giving and volunteering a natural part of everyday life,
Elnor Rozenrot – an impact investor with Innosight Ventures, financing disruptive innovations that serve overshot customers.
And worry not, the next few weeks will feature interviews with Wes Selke of Good Capital, Tyler Valiquette of Catapult Design, and Elmira Bayrasli of Endeavor. Until then, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
