Hub Ventures Calls for Social Entrepreneurs

SOCAP January 27, 2011

Hub Ventures is a 12-week evening program providing funding and resources to a community of 16 entrepreneurs building solutions for a better world. Through the program, participants refine their business models and investor pitches while growing their networks of peers, mentors, and potential investors. Based at Hub SoMa and Hub Berkeley, participating entrepreneurs engage in weekly peer review sessions, mentor office hours, speaker events, and focused workshops on topics such as Design for Impact, Fundraising Methods, Customer Development, Market Validation, and more. Upon completion of the program, 3-4 ventures will receive $75,000 in seed funding through a peer selection process that puts the investment decisions into the hands of the cohort. Additionally, participants will pitch to top Bay Area Impact Investors at SOCAP Investor Day in June. Hub Ventures is a partner of Village Capital – a global program for funding and accelerating social ventures. You can learn more about Hub Ventures and why it’s different from other programs here.
