You may have heard the buzz about the portfolio framework special session at SOCAP11. If you missed it, the session was a presentation from Leslie Christian, CEO of Portfolio 21 Investments and Don Shaffer, President & CEO of RSF Social Finance on a white paper released the same day. The paper, A New Foundation for Portfolio Management, questions many of the assumptions that current investment practice takes for granted and asserts the need to expand our fundamental understanding of risk, growth, and utility to meet the investment challenges of the 21st century.
It is Don and Leslie’s hope that the principles put forth in the paper will ignite conversations in the investment community. The paper is available on the RSF Social Finance website. We encourage you to download and share the paper to further the discussion about investment strategy and how we can create the social impact we seek.
If you’re interested in learning more about the case studies discussed in the paper, we invite you to join a webinar hosted by B Lab on Thursday, September 29th at 11AM Pacific.
