Inclusion is key to ensuring a successful organization and there is growing research pointing to the importance of employees’ sense of belonging. But unlike diversity, inclusion is tricky to measure and oftentimes invisible, especially to those who are often included. During this workshop, participants will be introduced to Aleria’s framework of measuring inclusion in the workplace and the nine Categories of Inclusion. They will participate in an interactive exercise, sharing their experiences of exclusion to gain a deeper understanding of how to measure inclusion and explore how the nine Categories of Inclusion show up in their own day to day work lives. Finally, we will present specific ways leaders can drive greater inclusion at their organization by guiding them in reading the data from the exercise and demonstrating how it can advise decision-making and resource allocation.
