Delivering Gender and Racial Equity Investing

Rachel Butler July 13, 2022

ImpactAssets and the Catalytic Impact Foundation have shown that investing in diverse leadership is essential to equity investing. The market is biased against women and underrepresented founders. Women receive just 3% of VC funding. Yet studies show companies run by women have equal or higher levels of financial success. The market is also biased against mission-focused companies aiming to create social impact, as investments are deemed risky. ImpactAssets offers investment platforms that narrow the gaps in healthcare, water, gender and racial equity. CIF employs philanthropic capital to invest in transformative life-science companies, approximately 50% led by women and/or underrepresented founders.
