Description

Social contracts determine who gets protected and who gets left out, but most of us don’t think about them until we have to. They don’t naturally occur. They were written by authors. And the one we’ve operated from for the last 250 years was written by a small, homogeneous group, designed primarily for themselves.

In this session, George Aye opens with a 15-minute talk that establishes how social contracts are written, using a caste analysis to show how the current one works. Then the session shifts: participants apply a structured framework to surface the implicit contracts inside their own work and draft a more explicit version, one they actually chose to write.
