Women are playing an increased role in the clean energy access value chain, especially in bringing reliable energy to rural and off-grid communities around the world that help lift people out of poverty and which have a notable impact on women and girls in particular. This panel celebrates the success of women social entrepreneurs engaged in the clean energy value chain, from design and production to distribution and sales. Panelists will also discuss the outsized role women can have in solving SDGs 5 and 7, and explore actions that need to be taken to replicate success in other parts of the globe, and bring more women into the value chain.
