What role does trauma play in holding back equitable economic development? Nearly invisible to most, intergenerational trauma directly affects Native American and other BIPOC founder’s ability to launch and grow startups. In fact for many, the workplace is often a site of re-traumatization and continued human resource extraction. Building on recent breakthroughs in trauma science, new models of capacity building and business acceleration are beginning to integrate culturally responsive, trauma healing modalities in support of founder and startup wellbeing. In this workshop we will introduce frameworks and techniques for addressing trauma in organizations to support healthy leadership, team dynamics and overall business performance.
