Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) can be a powerful tool for change when it’s integrated into the management tools and processes of an organization. Far beyond impact targets and reporting, IMM can:
- Define what gets prioritized
- Provide guidance for forecasting
- Support how decisions are made
- Uncover information gaps
- Cultivate organizational knowledge, and
- Create performance benchmarks
This session will use city building as a case study, using examples such as an acquisition due diligence process, engagement playbook, design and procurement system, and holistic community development to demonstrate how IMM can drive better outcomes. We believe the thinking behind these concrete processes and tools can be adapted for any industry and used to practically integrate profit and purpose into business operations.
