Fundraising and investing in a frothy market: razing barriers to effectively matching capital to excellent investments

Casey van der Stricht May 26, 2021

We see the data–markets are frothy, and investors are chasing deals more aggressively than ever. And yet, on one end of the continuum: impact-focused companies often still struggle to close rounds, and on the other end: those that are over-subscribed risk overheating and including capital that may push financial return at the expense of impact.

Solver teams are tech-based innovators, laser focused on solving the world’s most pressing problems. We propose bringing together some of these founders–currently raising seed or series a rounds–with investors running debt, equity, and alternatives funds to answer the questions “if there is so much money fighting to get into VC, how does an entrepreneur differentiate in this frothy world”? And “what are the barriers to raising in a frothy market, and how can we ease those barriers?”
