This interactive workshop session will delve into how cross-sector partnerships can accelerate our collective racial equity and climate justice work. Participants will gain an understanding of skills-based volunteering and the different models available — from quick-hit pitch competitions and days of service to more sustained, impact project types like long-term team consulting. Corporate and nonprofit leaders with experience in skills-based volunteering will share best practices on strategically designing a pro bono partnership around a specific social or environmental cause, finding the right partner, and managing a productive and focused project. They’ll bring these concepts to life through resources on issue-driven skills-based volunteering, proven results from past collaborations with major companies like Nielsen, and tips for bringing this programming to your organization.
