Description
Guarantees are often framed as instruments that reduce risk at the point of investment. This session takes the conversation further by examining what happens after access is unlocked. “Guarantees that graduate” is post-guarantee design, not simply to support one transaction, but to help build lasting lender relationships, strengthen enterprises, exp& access to affordable housing, & position borrowers for commercially sustainable financing. Through the lens of Shared Interest’s experience & with complementary perspectives from partners in the work, & an affordable housing practitioner, the panel will explore how blended finance structures can work best when they are designed with partnership, discipline, & eventual graduation in mind.
