By 2030, over 3 billion people will live in substandard housing. And yet, the sustainable development goals seek to ensure a more sustainable future for all people by 2030 as well. In order to ensure that we achieve the SDGs, investment in quality housing globally is key. Investments in better housing can lead to achievement of the other SDGs, from better health, poverty reduction, economic growth and clean water and sanitation. At Build Change, we mobilize people, money, and technology to achieve impact at scale in better housing, and we support both the supply and demand sides of housing resilience. Through this session, we will explore the kinds of financial solutions we have pioneered to make resilient housing more accessible to vulnerable populations, and how donors and investors can make a difference by making sound investments in resilient housing programs.
