Investor Relationships and Tools to Make Capital Work for the Long-term

Michael Clyne July 13, 2022

Investment contracts are critical tools between long-term asset owners and their asset managers. By better incorporating standards for impact investing – like ESG or SDG criteria, reporting requirements and DEI or green policies – investment contracts can become tools of accountability, empowering investors to create long-term value, as well as protect against greenwashing and invest for a more sustainable future through asset management.

Open-source toolkits to transform investment contracts as levers for impact have been developed by the Pension Fund Coalition for Inclusive Capitalism, as well as other, likeminded asset owner networks around the world.

A SOCAP Global panel of those representatives would discuss such tools, answer questions for their implementation and work through applications to ensure their lessons are taken forward by SOCAP attendees in their own investment relationships.
