Justice Tech For All: How Technology Can Ethically Disrupt The US Justice System

Ben Wrobel May 27, 2021

What is justice tech? Ask three investors and you might get three different answers.

We define justice tech the way we think most impact investors mean it: startups that are built with the goals of reducing inequities in criminal or civil justice and creating opportunities for justice-involved people. These are startups that offer tools, platforms and services for people interacting with the justice system at various points in the cycle — from initial contact, arrest to sentencing, incarceration and finally reentry into society.

Justice tech is a growing space, but there is a lot of work that needs to be done to build the ecosystem of ethical justice tech. In this panel we will share recommendations for entrepreneurs, investors and corporations on how they can support this community.
