‘Poverty-free India, within our lifetime’: What will it take? We will need to see large-scale social transformation, made in a short period of time. This sort of ‘disproportionate’ change will require the coming together of all stakeholders- governments, markets and civil society. Radical collaboration is key. And it has happened before. In India, we’ve seen this disproportionate socio-economic change take place – some examples being the White revolution, microfinance and the recent digitization through Aadhar. It is now time to use these learnings to tackle our biggest developmental challenge, which is multidimensional in nature: poverty. It is crucial that public and private sector players come together like never before to help create and scale impactful solutions. India is in its 75th year of Independence. By the time we get to [email protected], witnessing a poverty-free nation is possible. Together, we can!
