Systems Change and the Racial Wealth Gap: Financing Inclusive Economies

Sarah Lee July 13, 2022

Leading with the vision of ‘By & For’ leaders from community-based organizations throughout the state, Commerce has joined with multiple stakeholders to revise existing or develop new products and service that finance inclusive economies.  This work leverages both private and public investment and directs current stimulus and recovery funding to address the racial wealth gap in systemic ways.

The Director of Washington State Department of Commerce and Governor’s cabinet member, Dr. Lisa Brown will speak with thought leaders Pierre Joseph of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and Manny Rivera of Rally Communications about Washington’s new pathways and programs for capital and services to reach BIPOC, women and rural small business owners.
