This session will provide insight into the journey of Black social entrepreneurs who are advancing racial justice and upending structural oppression. We will discuss their entrepreneurial journey through a panel discussion and highlight the significant and deep impact they have had in Black communities. To sustain and scale their impact, these leaders have navigated a biased philanthropic space and have wrestled with the idea of whether to accept funds that do not align with their values. We will discuss best practices and provide tools and frameworks on how to manage this tension. Attendees will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how to create value-aligned fundraising strategies.
