The Latin American region is being funded: more than 12 billion USD were received during 2020 for social and environmental impact projects. But what happens when looking for funding for my project or my idea?
We want to enlighten the conversation about financing systems: from a conservative one where transaction costs end up being very high at the price of specifying the financial support, towards a new financing system where the supply of projects is increasingly of better quality, aims to solve the real problems and are aligned with donors’ expectations. What are the main characteristics that these new “healthy” financing systems should have? What are the challenges we face in light of new financing vehicles? What are the steps to follow to avoid damage and fall into the same mistakes that old financing systems drag? For all this, it is necessary to generate alliances, a joint work collaboration and joint efforts around pursuing the same goals.
