What has changed in investing since the start of #MeToo, #BLM, #MMIW, and other racial / gender / social justice movements; what hasn’t; and where are the opportunities to invest for social justice right now?

Julianne Zimmerman May 24, 2021

This interactive panel brings together four practitioners from disparate vantage points to engage the attendees in five concrete, action-oriented assessments:

  • what has changed for better or worse in the investing worlds since the advent of #MeToo, #BLM, #MMIW, The 1619 Project, and other movements, and especially since George Floyd’s murder;
  • what measurable gains have been made as a result;
  • what has not changed;
  • how the status quo drives materially adverse outcomes for all, investors included;
  • where / how investors of all categories and return objectives can deploy capital for racial / gender / social justice.

Attendee questions and recommendations will be incorporated into the discussion. The goal of the session is for all attendees to gain actionable insights they can put into practice immediately.
