We have been warned about climate change for decades. We are in an era of information with plenty of data to support our global goals. Social media allows more forces worldwide to work together. Yet, we are still falling behind the SDGs targets and have not noticed any radical or significant change from government, business and people. I bet that, like me, the following question crossed your mind several times: “Why people do not do anything”? The list of excuses for not taking further action is endless. But the common point is that since some people do not trust their potential, they do not see themselves as part of the solution. And therefore, they do not understand that is part of the problem.

Purpose and Desired Outcome
If we want more people to join the global movement for change, we need to help them overcome their self-limiting insecurities and free their human potential. Looking at the sustainable development goals (SDGs), at least 9 targets require work in personal development. Still, none mentions self-growth and individual empowerment as part of the solution. Indeed, more self-esteem, positivity or self-confidence may not be the only answer, but self-knowledge is the cornerstone for all. Qualified Life coaches specialise in human empowerment and behavioural change. After this fire chat, we hope they will be more involved in corporate and public strategies and policies to allow better citizen engagement and lasting positive (inner and outer) change.
