Legacy carbon dioxide in the atmosphere comprises 95% of the excess CO2 that is causing climate change. We must restore the climate. Meaning remove and store the excess carbon that is in our atmosphere. This session will discuss the philanthropic, market based, and government investment in the land- and ocean-based solutions that will remove and permanently store carbon. Going beyond net zero to net negative is a must to solve the climate crisis.
