InVenture Fund Invests, Businesses Reinvest, Community Grows: Investing in Good.

Cameron Campbell May 27, 2010

InVenture Fund is an Indian based company that realizes microfinance clients are not always happy with the services they are given, or capable of continuous repayment. In response to this they have created an opportunity for microfinance clients and entrepreneurs in developing countries to grow their business loan free, reinvest and change their community. For Shivani Siroya, InVenture’s founder, providing capital, not loans is the most important method of growing and supporting businesses. The Inventure Fund website has a portal that allows anyone to contribute any amount of capital to their client companies.  The investors receive a share of profits on top of their initial investment. The best thing about it is, 3-5% of the profits are reinvested in the community to address social issues. InVenture Fund conducts due diligence reports on their clients including indusrty and personal background checks, and only choose businesses that have a 96% repayment rate. InVenture is already working in India, Mali, Ghana, and shortly Mexico and is expanding by opening up a fellowship in June 2010 to conduct due diligence reports and track their clients progress.
