New Resource Bank Certified as a B Corp

Rishi Malhotra July 5, 2010

The New Resource Bank, founded in 2006, has become a Certified B Corporation because of its focus on social and environmental returns in addition to financial ones. It is the first stock on the OTC Bulletin Board to do this. Their commercial lending focuses on green-oriented businesses and their personal lending includes loans for solar panels and energy efficiency.
The building itself that it is in is LEED Gold-certified building and it offsets all of its electricity consumption through certified renewable energy certificates. It is based in San Francisco, where it is certified as a Green Business by the city. Jay Coen Gilbert, the founder of B Lab, will be speaking at SOCAP10 on What’s Next.
