Hub Bay Area and First Light Ventures have announced the formation of a new partnership, Hub Village Capital –a seed capital fund for the members of Hub Bay Area that are launching promising social enterprises. The initiative is an innovative collaboration taking place at the Hub Bay Area that will provide critical financial and human capital, sourced from and allocated by the community, to accelerate the development of early-stage social enterprises. The application process for the first cohort of Hub Village Capital will officially open on Monday, October 4th during the Social Capital Markets (SOCAP) conference at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Applicants may sign up online or in person at the conference. Up to 18 applicants will be invited to join the first cohort.
