What is your role in the Social Capital Market?
We think about how to drive maturity and efficiency in the BOP social capital market. What systems can drive better execution, capital flows, and social impact?
What opportunity is there for a technology solution to help aggregate information around social enterprise for both investors and entrepreneurs?
We’ve found that entrepreneurs value information about their peers so highly (and have so little access to it), that they’re willing to share sensitive data and pay for it.  The challenge with aggregating data is organizing it so that it can be consumed. This market gap is an huge opportunity. Recently, I’ve heard a lot of people talking about creating a platform like angel.co, which streamlines business model info and connects the best funders with the best deals. The tech sector is a treasure trove of solutions that might be applicable to social entrepreneurs. Nonetheless, there are many questions about whether social entrepreneurship is mature enough to handle platforms like thefunded.com, angel.co, and angelsoft.com.
What does Money + Meaning = to you? What should the social capital market stand for?
Net positive outcomes for ventures and funders (revenue + value/impact).
