Examples of Great SOCAP Open Proposals

Jenna Nicholas of Impact Experience proposed a panel called Building a New Future Across Race, Class, Religion and Socio-Economic Divisions. This panel promises to discuss the racial and economic divides in America and to highlight leaders and organizations that are developing tools to advance community healing and investment.
Rehana Nathoo of the Case Foundation proposed a panel, The Data Conundrum, that aims to cover the intersection of data, measurement, transparency, and the impact investing community’s ability to reach scale. Four organizations with different approaches to measuring, articulating, and visualizing data in impact investing would discuss challenges and opportunities within the space.
Emily Jonas of One World Children’s Fund proposed an interactive workshop called Local is Global. The workshop would help participants explore ways that deep, long term investment in local community leadership can be the most effective route to meeting global development goals. This session will look at locally focused investment strategies and how persistent challenges facing local leadership in global communities block the critical mass of resources necessary in order to reach the most sustainable solutions. This session is designed to expand our way of thinking about how capital investments can be executed to meet global development goals.
These are only a few of the great ideas we have already received, so please take a look at the full list. For more guidance on how to select and develop your proposal, please read the SOCAP Open FAQs and our Guide to a Successful Open Submission.
