SOCAP Global January 26, 2018

The Good Capital Project’s inaugural Total Impact event will convene April 26 and 27, 2018 at the Cira Centre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. • Ways to incorporate SRI, ESG, Impact and the Sustainable Development Goals into portfolios that meet financial objectives

Sessions will be organized around asset classes and designed to address the interests of different segments of clients. We will also provide access best practices of research and execution in terms that any financial advisor will find useful. Our lead sponsor, Envestnet is a premier provider of integrated portfolio, practice management, and reporting solutions to financial advisors and institutions. Good Capital Design Labs will provide multiple approaches for collaboration and interactive learning that are tailored to financial advisors. We will have a strong emphasis on learning and expect many of the speakers and exhibitors to provide resources to build on after the event.

Another important trend that is connected to impact investing is investing locally. Impact investing, ESG, and SDGs can all be implemented in your region. Most philanthropy has traditionally been local and more investment is moving that way. Total Impact will expose investors and investment advisors to some examples and expertise of impact investing in Philadelphia.

To provide nationally relevant examples of what is currently working on the local level, we have partnered with ImpactPHL, an organization with a mission to increase investment in impact companies and organizations in Greater Philadelphia by accelerating development and awareness of Greater Philadelphia’s impact economy.

We selected Philadelphia for the inaugural Total Impact conference because it has a large and healthy impact ecosystem that is experiencing rapid growth. Philly is the home of B Lab and was the birthplace of the B Corp movement. Impact pioneer Judy Wicks founded the Sustainable Business Network here in this city, which was the first to offer special tax credits for sustainable businesses. Philadelphia also has its own chapter of the world’s largest early-stage impact investing network, Investors’ Circle.
