ADAP Deal Room @ SOCAP18
Starting at 1pm today in the Sartle Library, investors are invited to the ADAP Capital Deal Room at SOCAP18. This is the second year in a row that ADAP is hosting a deal room for social impact ventures at SOCAP. ADAP will announce which ventures were selected to receive a $75,000 investment on Thursday afternoon on the Festival Mainstage.
Indigenous@SOCAP18
Today from 2:30 – 4:00 pm come to the 360 dome set up next to the Firehouse to join a celebration of the opening of Indigenous@SOCAP18. Curated and produced by Indigenous social entrepreneurs and a collective of supporting partners, Indigenous@ SOCAP18 will host a variety of sessions including interactive and VR films, discussions about regenerative wisdom led by Indigenous leaders, visionaries, and culture bearers. Look for Indigenous@SOCAP18 on Pathable to discover all the content that will be happening in the dome throughout the conference.
Ben Hecht Book Signing
Visit our Marketplace bookstore in Festival Pavilion to shop for a curated selection of books on impact investing and social entrepreneurship, including a number of volumes written by SOCAP18 speakers. The authors of some of those books will be signing copies at the conference. Today between 6 pm and 6:30pm, Living Cities President and CEO Ben Hecht will be signing copies of his book Reclaiming the American Dream.
How to Get the Most Out of SOCAP – A Workshop Led by BATS Improv
Not just for newcomers, join the fun and informative How to Get the Most Out of SOCAP session, taking place between 3pm and 4pm on the Festival Mainstage, to learn how to navigate, enjoy, and get maximum benefit from SOCAP18.
This year, for the first time ever, this workshop will be led by BATS Improv, a professional theatre company and an artistic community that cultivates and innovates the craft of improvised theatre through engaging, playful, creative performance and training.

SOCAP18 Welcome Reception
Plan to stick around to meet up with old friends and new after the plenary. At 6pm, we’ll kick off SOCAP18 with an opening night reception featuring delicious local fare by Acre Gourmet.
