SOCAP19 Wednesday Highlights and Happenings

SOCAP October 23, 2019

To help you plan your Wednesday at SOCAP, we’ve put together a list of some of the activities happening around Fort Mason today.

Yoga at SOCAP

Starting today, you are invited to begin your mornings at SOCAP19 with mindfulness and movement. Yogi Marlon Hall will be leading yoga and meditation classes in an outdoor area behind the Firehouse between 7:30 AM – 8:15 AM today, Thursday, and Friday. Yoga mats will be available.

Gender Lens Investing Champions Breakfast

Today and tomorrow, pick up breakfast from Festival Pavilion and then join the big gender lens conversation taking place in the Big Top Tent between 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM.

Visit The LatAm Lounge

The LatAm impact ecosystem has a dedicated space to gather in Festival Pavilion. Visit the LatAm Lounge to meet people who are creating impact throughout Latin America. Special LatAM focused sessions are planned throughout SOCAP19 including entrepreneur pitches and panels of investors, foundations, ecosystem mappers, and fund-of-funds whose work is focused in Latin America. These conversations will be held in both English and Spanish and will take place throughout today and tomorrow in Meeting Room One located across from the LatAm Lounge. Learn more about the LatAm Lounge from organizer Sarah Sterling.

Visit the Indigenous Lounge in Festival Pavilion

Throughout SOCAP19, visit the Indigenous Lounge in Festival to explore how we can realize an Indigenous-led regenerative economy with Indigenous social entrepreneurs and a collective of supporting partners. The Indigenous Lounge is hosted by Seeding Sovereignty, an Indigenous womxn-led collective working to shift social and environmental paradigms by dismantling colonial institutions and replacing them with Indigenous practices created in synchronicity with the land.

Breakfast and Lunch

Acre Gourmet will be serving meals buffet style at multiple stations located at the front and back of Festival Pavilion. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available at every meal.

  • Breakfast will be served between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM.
  • Lunch will be served between 12 PM and 2 PM.

Note: Sessions run concurrently throughout the day without a break, so plan time to eat or pick up lunch to take to your next session. Consider setting a braindate for breakfast or lunch! Go to socap.braindate.com to suggest topics of conversation or schedule braindates. If you have questions or need help, please visit the Braindate Lounge in Festival Pavilion.
