Scaling Solutions to Global Water Challenges with Tom Ferguson of Imagine H2O

“The global water challenge is really about balancing the micro and the macro. People, industry, agriculture–everybody needs water in the right place, in the right quantity, at the right quality, and at the right time. Doing that is unbelievably hard.”

–Tom Ferguson, VP of Programming, Imagine H2O

Demand for water far outstrips supply in some communities today, whereas others are grappling with challenges related to excess water. Imagine H2O, an organization with a mission to empower people to develop and deploy innovations to solve water challenges globally, works on this challenge at both ends of this spectrum. Their global accelerator champions innovative solutions for a water resilient future by providing water startups with the resources they need to scale up. The entrepreneurs they work with are solving some of the world’s most pressing water challenges at local and global levels.

On this week’s episode of Money + Meaning, Alex Kravitz sits down with Tom Ferguson, Imagine H20’s Vice President of Programming to discuss the world’s most pressing challenges related to water and the role they are playing to accelerate solutions.

Ferguson talks about the scope and urgency of today’s water challenges, some of the most promising solutions, including technological innovations he is seeing on the horizon, and what investors can do to help scale solutions that work.
