Announcing the SOCAP22 Entrepreneur Program Cohort
The return to an in-person SOCAP conference also means the return of on-site activities for the entrepreneurs selected for the SOCAP22 Entrepreneur Program. Through this annual program, SOCAP grants scholarships to entrepreneurs from all over the globe — and this year’s winners were selected from a record number of applicants. We also will be featuring 13 entrepreneurs who have been sponsored by the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship to join the cohort and be spotlighted with individual pitch sessions at SOCAP22.
The SOCAP22 Entrepreneur Program cohort will participate in the first hybrid experience, with investment readiness workshops, working group sessions, networking, and other virtual programming leading up to the opportunity to connect with potential funders and partners on-site at SOCAP22 in October in San Francisco.
The SOCAP22 Entrepreneur Program Cohort Includes:
- Virtual working group sessions for the entrepreneurs to hear from expert guest speakers on topics such as choosing the right investor for their venture, telling the story behind the impact they create, realizing the importance of mentorship, prioritizing holistic founder wellness, and finding a variety of sources of capital (human, financial, etc.) during SOCAP22.
- Additional virtual networking sessions to connect with their cohort peers before SOCAP22.
- Online resources for their orientation folder and video recordings to help prepare them for meetings at SOCAP.
- Legal office hours provided by the Lex Mundi Foundation.
- Housing provided by SOCAP for all entrepreneurs during their stay in San Francisco.
- The opportunity to pitch on stage and be spotlighted in front of SOCAP22 attendees.
