What is your role in the Social Capital Market?
Our goal is to prove that a bank can help to change society.  We invest in people and organizations that manage for a social and environmental as well as financial return.  We call it “planet smart banking”.
What is the single most important step to creating a more established social capital market?
Create a sense of purpose for all people, companies, and organizations.  Purpose provides motivation and drives behavior.
What does Money + Meaning = to you? What should the social capital market stand for?
We have a choice between WIFM (what’s in it for me) capitalism and conscious capitalism.  Our capital markets should enable all of us to achieve our potential and purposes in life.  There is no divorce between higher values and our economic system; money should serve the accomplishment of greater goals.
