Description

In the aftermath of crises, rebuilding communities requires more than just immediate relief — it requires long-term recovery strategies that build resilience and empower local organizations. Catalytic capital, such as program-related investments (PRIs) and recoverable grants, can be pivotal in driving sustainable recovery and transformation. This session will explore how these financial tools can be deployed strategically to support community rebuilding efforts, with a focus on real-world applications and actionable insights.

This session will examine at least one case study of this year’s devastating wildfires in LA to explore how catalytic capital can accelerate recovery, restore local economies, and enable community-driven solutions that foster long-term resilience. Participants will gain a nuanced understanding of how catalytic capital can be leveraged to bridge funding gaps and support more inclusive, community-led rebuilding efforts.
