Description

How do we navigate the emotions that come with climate change—fear, hope, uncertainty? And how can we use these emotions to spur greater personal and professional climate action? Love and Fear in a Warming World is a 60-minute interactive experience that uses creative expression to help participants connect with their values, their sense of purpose, and a shared climate-conscious community.

Through participatory poetry, storytelling, and reflective activities, this session invites participants to explore their emotions around climate change and transform them into renewed agency and action. Previous participants have included members of the UK Parliament and global change-makers in impact investing. They and others have described feeling less climate anxiety, more clarity, and a deeper sense of connection to the climate movement. SOCAP participants will be invited to join a global movement where creativity and emotion meet climate action.

Love and Fear in a Warming World has been co-developed by Slam Out Loud (India) and Climate Shift (US/UK) and has been delivered to business and NGO leaders, climate activists, teachers and parents, and climate-concerned citizens in the USA, Europe, and India.
