The Elephant Not in the Room: Why Corporations Need You Right Now, and How to Build Together

A hands-on demo of the concept and process behind SustainXchange, a forward-thinking service that embeds nonprofits into corporate value chains—leveraging their community trust, on-the-ground results, and verified data to deliver critical business value while protecting mission integrity and ownership and generating multi-year earned revenue. Foundations, DAFs, or impact investors act as the catalyst, providing seed capital to de-risk innovation and corporate investment with a 1:4 leverage return. In this workshop, participants will learn why and how their missions map to ESG categories (yes, really!) and practice building a joint venture by role-playing the perspectives of each party (nonprofit, company, and philanthropic backer).
