Description

Education systems face a significant US$97 billion annual financing gap, hindering progress in quality and equity, especially in low-income and climate-vulnerable areas. An upcoming interactive workshop aims to explore how catalytic capital can promote sustainable investment in education. It will focus on financing low-cost, community-based schools and discuss blended, outcomes-driven finance models that seek to effect systemic change rather than just pilot projects. Participants will engage in small-group discussions to co-create investable pathways in areas such as girls’ education, women-led schools, climate-resilient infrastructure, and education-to-employment models, fostering collaboration and concrete capital strategies.
