Join us for this session to learn how Chicago’s We Rise Together: For an Equitable & Just Recovery, a funder collaborative housed at The Chicago Community Trust that is raising $250 million to make strategic investments in 10 target neighborhoods to accelerate their local visions, is forging a new model for community-centered equitable economic investment. In less than one year, We Rise Together has invested $30 million, which will unlock $291 million worth of new development projects. We Rise Together’s goal is to mobilize over $1 billion to spur economic growth through brick-and-mortar investments, quality jobs, and strong local businesses, and we hope it can serve as an important model for other cities looking to center communities in equitable economic growth strategies.
