Mobilizing Capital for Global Health: A G7 Impact Investment Initiative

Impact Investment Initiative for Global Health (Triple I for GH) is a G7 initiative endorsed at the Hiroshima summit 2023 and launched during UNGA 2023. Its mission is to accelerate private sector financing through impact investment in global health innovation and system strengthening, especially developing economies. Health, like climate change, is a critical global issue. COVID-19 highlighted the need for international health security and robust public health systems.

To achieve Universal Health Coverage and the SDGs by 2030, it is essential to mobilize private capital through sustainable financing alongside public funds. Triple I for GH connects stakeholders to address global health issues in developing economies through impact investments. This session will introduce Triple I for GH and its progress, focusing on expanding visibility, developing the impact investing field, and promoting government roles.

This session is an opportunity to share impact investment case studies and showcase the value and opportunities for collaboration among investors, project/business managers, and development financial partnerships through Triple I for GH.
