We're facing huge and growing workforce gaps, while the exceptional job training remains elusive for far too many. In response, a group of innovative public-sector leaders are partnering with major employers to design a new, place-based approach to financing training access, credential achievement, and better earnings.
In this session, you'll hear about the nation’s first public-private Pay It Forward Program - recently launched in the State of New Jersey, in partnership with the New Jersey CEO Council and Social Finance - as well as a major Pay It Forward initiative in design for San Diego's behavioral health workforce. Both programs intend to eliminate barriers to opportunity through outcomes-based, revolving loan funds with significant downside protections for borrowers, helping more people access quality training programs and secure well-paying jobs of the future.
