1:30 PM - 2:30 PM PDT
In 2017 the W.K. Kellogg Foundation launched a multi-year initiative called Truth, Reconciliation, Healing and Transformation to elevate the ways race and racism impact every aspect of our lives, and to support what communities can do to change and transform it. Two of the sites will present their work to look at the historical attitudes, policies and practices of place and race in Dallas and in Alaska. You will hear about the importance of creating the space to tell the untold community origin stories and how shifts in narrative help heal a community and lead to transformation.
