A decade ago at the White House, a small group of some of the nation’s largest public colleges made a bold promise: to graduate an additional 68,000 students above projected numbers by 2024. 10 years later, unlike many well-intentioned efforts, these campuses have surpassed that goal. Through collaboration across public institutions and private philanthropy, the University Innovation Alliance is shrinking racial and economic gaps in higher education by testing and scaling strategies that increase the number and diversity of college graduates. This panel will explore how the collective action of pooling resources and intellect to create a hub of innovation can drive systemic change in education.
