Description

This 75-minute interactive session explores where artificial intelligence can responsibly improve resilience, employment, service delivery, and opportunity for forcibly displaced people – and where ethical boundaries must slow deployment. Led by an interdisciplinary team from Indiana University and the Sirmans Global Impact Foundation, participants will examine emerging AI use cases in refugee settings, evaluate practical risks, and help shape a field agenda before pilot projects mature. The session combines expert framing, small-group design work, and structured debate to generate practical use cases and principles for responsible application.
