Beyond Shortages: Co-Creating an AI-Enabled Health Workforce

Globally, the health workforce faces an 11 million worker shortfall by 2030, concentrated in low- and middle-income countries. Training and hiring cannot close this gap. This interactive workshop brings together an implementer, innovator, and investor to explore how AI and digital tools can boost frontline health worker productivity — from decision-support assistants to AI-powered training platforms. After a brief case presentation, participants break into small groups to co-design a framework for how AI can multiply health workforce capacity and identify sustainable financing models. Participants leave with a co-created action framework and partnership and financing models to deploy AI to strengthen health workforces.
