Beyond the Classroom: Investing in the Future of Diverse Changemakers

Francisco Abad Guerra CODEIS (Cooperación para el Desarrollo del Emprendimiento y la Innovación Social)

“Beyond the Classroom: Investing in the Future of Diverse Changemakers” embarks on an exploratory journey into the realms of non-traditional education and its potential to catalyze systemic change. This Delegate-Led MeetUp seeks to redefine the narrative around education and investment, spotlighting the untapped potential within marginalized and underrepresented communities. Our focus is on the transformative impact of strategic investments in non-traditional educational pathways that empower individuals often overlooked by mainstream educational and economic systems.

Central to our discussion is the innovative investment approach of providing transformative funding to underestimated founders, so that we can bet on individuals from the bottom of the pyramid—those who defy traditional success metrics but hold the key to grassroots innovation and change. By embracing the concept that money is a significant agent of change, this session aims to illuminate the pathways through which diverse entrepreneurs, including those in remote communities, elderly entrepreneurs, women survivors of violence, mothers of femicide victimes, LGBT+ individuals, indigenous founders, and other marginalized groups, can be supported to become the solution to the very problems they face.

This MeetUp will delve into:
– The critical importance of investing in non-traditional education as a means to empower vulnerable populations, turning them into agents of change.
– Success stories and models where investment in non-traditional and lifelong learning has led to significant societal and economic impacts.
– Strategies for investors and educators to identify and support non-traditional learners and entrepreneurs, ensuring that education serves as a lifelong journey accessible to all, regardless of their initial circumstances.
– The role of innovative funding mechanisms in fostering inclusivity and diversity in education, particularly focusing on how to measure and sustain the impact of such investments.

“Beyond the Classroom: Investing in the Future of Diverse Changemakers” invites investors, educators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to engage in a forward-thinking dialogue about the future of education. By highlighting the intersection between investment, non-traditional education, and societal impact, we aim to forge a collective vision for a future where every individual has the opportunity to learn, innovate, and thrive.

Join us as we explore how strategic investments in non-traditional education can build resilient, adaptive, and sustainable educational systems that not only champion diversity but actively contribute to closing the global education gap.
