Description

Our interactive panel will discuss how Blue Finance can deliver on poverty reduction whilst protecting marine ecosystems.
We will share practical lessons for investors, fund managers & investees on how to balance and measure results for both communities and planet. These will be drawn from evidence and experience of these trade-offs in practice: (i) across the UK’s Blue Planet Fund (BPF); (ii) in a BPF-supported fund, the Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR), the first and largest blended finance vehicle dedicated to coral reef conservation, and (iii) in delivery, from a GFCR investee (Konservasi Indonesia).
Participants will discuss real-life scenarios emerging from the panellists’ work and consider what they would prioritise, how and why.
