Description

Building high-performing teams and portfolios requires more than good intentions—it requires structured, bias-mitigating processes and a genuine commitment to DEI internally, with processes that respect the individuality of each fund.
This hands-on workshop will guide VCs go beyond their DEI commitments by addressing the “obvious” ways to be more inclusive internally. We will focus on how each fund can strategically build the operations of a VC firm to ensure that inclusive and equitable practices are not merely aspirations, but core elements embedded in every part of your fund’s infrastructure, which includes:
Strategy & People Operations: Strategy & Leadership, Recruitment, People Development, Policies & Procedures.
Participants will assess their current DEI levels, identify gaps, and develop actionable strategies for advancing DEI.
Through facilitated exercises and global cases, we’ll explore best practices and share strategies that can be adapted to every stage of a fund. Using an independent framework and recommendations from Diversity VC, participants will assess their starting point through a DEI maturity evaluation and, by the end of the workshop, design a mini action plan incorporating practices focused on any area of their fund’s infrastructure.
