Description
This interactive session from Morey Riordan will explore a bold and important vision for the future of work—one anchored in human sustainability.
Right now, we are living through a time of great uncertainty and change. Burnout is high, and employee engagement has dropped to its lowest in a decade.
Many choose impact-focused work because they believe in the mission of the organization. But as we look towards a more just and sustainable economy, this session is a reminder and a guide for investors, foundation and nonprofit leaders, government and all those who are passionately engaged in impact-focused work that we cannot neglect the well-being of those who are working towards a better future.Without this, optimal impact is much less likely.
Morey will help leaders meet this moment, and share actionable strategies to create safety and support in their workplaces. He will help guide leaders on how to “address the elephant in the room” (political turmoil and current events).
Morey will also elucidate the deep-rooted connection between well-being and diversity, equity and inclusion at work. As a transgender, senior business leader with a career dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of communities—especially marginalized communities, Morey brings a deeply inclusive lens and lived experience to this conversation.
The interactive portion of this session will include storytelling—a powerful tool to reduce stigma and build connection. Morey will engage the group and capture audience members’ stories and perspectives around well-being and their work. From there, he will help the group expand on any key learnings and insights that come from this conversation.
Every audience member will leave with actionable insights that they can use immediately to support themselves and their teams.
